Building a QuickStart Tennis Pathway for Crozet ES
Crozet Elementary School (CES) is located in the designated growth area of Crozet, VA and is one of four elementary schools in the western Albemarle Feeder Pattern.
This page will document the progress on the construction of three 36-foot QuickStart Tennis courts in the field behind the school. This project started in July 2013 as a first-ever, public/private partnership of Albemarle County Public Schools, Albemarle County, CES and QCV.
Crozet Elementary is a real tennis school and QCV is so happy to be able to build a place for students and neighbors to play.

"Groundbreaking Ceremony" -- June 2014
Crozet Elementary Principal Gwedette Crummie and Montie Breeden, Albemarle Senior Project Manager, Office of Facilities Development, were joined by three CES students to dig the first shovelfuls of dirt. (Note the QuickStart-size shovel!)
The courts are being built by Tennis Courts, Inc. of Aylett, VA, the same courtbuilder used to build the QuickStart courts at Claudius Crozet Park in 2012.
Montie will provide oversight for the County. Gwedette will keep her students excited about tennis! QCV will be able to pay for the courts thanks to our many generous supporters.
