QuickStart Tennis 2nd Birthday Party

Happy Birthday QuickStart Tennis!

QCV celebrated QuickStart's 2nd birthday by throwing a birthday bash at ACAC Adventure Central. Hard to believe it's been two years since the USTA introduced this new approach to teaching kids and other beginners how to play tennis. The official launch date was February 29, 2008.

Many thanks to ACAC Fitness & Wellness Centers for being a big QuickStart Central supporter! And many thanks to ACAC Director of Tennis, Jason Grigg! Jason always steps up for QuickStart! Kudos to our on-court volunteers for doing such a terrific job with the kids! We couldn't have done it without your help! Lastly, special thanks to the QCV Board members who give their time and energy to help grow QuickStart Tennis in central Virginia! We all looked really nice in our new QCV shirts and hats.

Thirty-five kids, ages 2 1/2 to 10 helped us mark this very special day with lots tennis, cupcakes and bananas.

The pictures tell the story . . . everyone had a GREAT time!

A racquet in every hand! A smile on every face!

Did that cupcake taste better because it looked like a tennis ball?

Tennis  . . . It ALL starts with QuickStart!

BTW, the leftover cupcakes were delivered to the Laurels of Charlottesville, a long-term nursing care facility, and the Senior Center by QCV Board Member Pat Severson.
