Tennis Court Construction at Crozet Park
Three 36-foot QuickStart Tennis courts were under construction at Claudius Crozet Park in Crozet, VA during May and June 2012. The courts were designed with the help of USTA Facilities Assistance and were built by Tennis Courts, Inc. of Aylett, VA. Herb Osburn, President of Tennis Courts, Inc. and an ASBA certified tennis court builder, oversaw the project personally. Many thanks to Herb, Scott Bradshaw of A. G. Dillard and S. L. Williamson Company for doing such a great job!

June 29 -- The Derecho
Is derecho Spanish for wretched storm? Thankfully the courts made it through unscathed, but the ribbon-cutting ceremony did not take place and neither did the annual Crozet parade or the Independence Day festivities at the Park. Fireworks were cancelled too.
July 3 -- Status Report
Banners lost a couple of ties and there are leaves on the courts, but other than that, a couple of BIG bullets were dodged.

Picnic pavilion #1 wasn't as lucky! It pancaked!

Later that afternoon, Pat Hanssen of Har-Tru got the nets and posts up.

Courts are open and ready for play!
